Introduction
Scrap Connection B.V., its subsidiaries, and affiliated companies (hereafter collectively referred to as Tradefox) may process your personal data. The guiding principle of Tradefox is to respect the privacy of (potential) clients in all its activities. Tradefox shall process your personal data only in accordance with this Privacy Statement and the applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In the Netherlands, Tradefox also adheres to the privacy statement of the ABN Group (which handles the Escrow service Scrap Pay). This Privacy Statement describes the data processing undertaken by Tradefox and your rights concerning such data processing.
Collection of personal data
Tradefox offers access to a business intelligence platform for scrap metals to companies only via this website. Personal and Company data will be collected when you (or your company) submit a registration form to Tradefox to obtain access to the secured part of the website. Email communication will be stored for the resolution of disagreements. Tradefox may obtain personal data from other sources/third parties (e.g., insurance companies or credit rating agencies).
Scope/Purposes of processing personal data
The personal and company data provided by you will be used by Tradefox for performing verifications, providing and improving products and services, inclusion in contract administration and customer relationship management systems, compliance with applicable rules and regulations, maintaining and expanding our commercial relationship with you (e.g., through direct marketing), conducting market research, improving the due diligence process, and negotiating disagreements between parties. Personal data will never be used for purposes other than those for which they were obtained.
Disclosure of personal data to third parties
Tradefox may share your company/personal data within its group and with third parties, including partner companies and other entities involved in the sale and provision of services, for the purposes set out above. Tradefox shall not share your personal data with third parties for purposes incompatible with the stated purposes. Tradefox will make best efforts to ensure that these third parties abide by the principles laid down in this Privacy Statement and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). To the extent these parties process your personal data on our behalf, we will require them to take adequate measures to ensure the safety and integrity of your personal data, in compliance with the GDPR.
